Week 9 in Békéscsaba

Hi!

We got the transfer calls this morning from President Szabadkai and I am staying in Békéscsaba with Elder Szuch. Elder Shepherd will be replacing Elder Neumiller who goes to Dunaújváros and is quite happy because he will serving there with his friend, Elder Thomas.

Elder Shepherd is from Utah and is a great guy. He is from the same group as Elder Knight and goes home in December, in just 6 weeks. I am excited about this transfer. I know that it will be good and we will laugh a lot and help the congregation and the people of Békéscsaba.

There were no many things happening to us this week. For a couple of days Elder Szuch and I had a cold, so we we stayed in the apartment and played chess a lot.

On Friday we went to Szeged for interviews and we toured the catholic cathedral there and ate "fake" Mexican food in a restaurant. It was not bad.

This weekend, the self-reliance missionary couple from Győr came and gave a training on self-reliance and I translated for them. It went well, and the participants here will start a "learning for a better job" group. Self-reliance is a new initiative in this mission and I hope that it will help the locals. We visited some people on the weekend and on Monday, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Today is Halloween and we will organize a Halloween party for the branch, so it will be good.

Happy Halloween!

Elder Gonzalez
