Week 15 in Békéscsaba

Hi!

Monday was a very eventful p-day for us. One of our members, László, took us to Póstelek. It had snowed and the ruined castle was very beautiful. There was a small creek with a small boat and with the help of ropes we could crossed over to a small island. All four of us stepped on the ship and there was no problem. But then the water underneath bubbled up and soon it began to fill the boat. Elder Shepherd quickly jumped back to the island, Elder Szuch pulled the boat back, I sat on the railing to stay above the water, and László just stood and laughed. All of our shoes got wet. It was a funny little adventure.

Afterwards, we went to Gyula where we visited the "Százéves" (100 years) confectionery. It opened in 1840 and we ate cake there. It was very beautiful with a style like a restaurant from the 19th century. Then we walked in the downtown of Gyula and saw the Gyula castle. Going back, we also saw the border with Romania, but it wasn’t a nice sight, just a customs office and a lot of tracks.

During the week, one of our young investigators showed us his music studio (he makes music and he is also a DJ) and it was pretty cool. There were not too many other programs that I could report about.

On Friday I had an interview with President Szabadkai and I was given permission to visit Érd and see my grandmother when we take Elder Shepherd to Budapest as he goes home on Wednesday. After meeting with President Szabadkai we had splits in Békéscsaba with the zone leaders.

Take care of yourself :),
