Week 33 in Békéscsaba

Hi!

Another wonderful 25°C spring weather in Békéscsaba! The sky is blue, the sun shines, the weather is perfect. :)

On Tuesday we went to Szeged to have interviews with President Szabadkai. The next morning Elder Szuch went to Budapest, so only the two of us remain. It’s different with just one companion and there is so much more room in the apartment now. But surely it will be very strange to me when in three weeks I will no longer have a companion... :)

We went halfway to Szeged on Friday. We thought that we would have splits with the the zone leaders in Szeged, and when we were about to take the bus from Hódmezővásárhely, the zone leaders called us and cancel the splits, so we turned back. There are many interesting things that happen on the mission.

On Saturday we helped one of our investigators. He has a 14-acre field which needed to be sprayed. We helped dig a ditch because there was some flooding in the field, and while we were out there we saw a lot of deer, rabbits, and pheasants. We also sat on his tractor for a little bit. It was nice to be outdoors in fresh and clean air for a couple of hours, and we got tired and hungry afterwards.

On Sunday it was very nice at church. Many came, including investigators and returning members. One of our members, Kati, gave a very beautiful talk about testimony and I liked it when she said "the testimony comes from the heart." What a simple but wonderful truth! After the sacrament meeting the senior missionary couple held the temple preparation class which was also successful. That afternoon, Elder Rohner, László, Kati, and I went to Póstelek to solve some issues with our next planned branch activity. There was an old peasant wagon there and we took some good photos with it.

Today was P-Day and we went to a fine hamburger restaurant with the sisters. We met an American guy who teaches English at one of the high schools here, so it was interesting.

Be good,
